A 42-year-old female resident of Mulweo village in Naluama chiefdom, Chikankata district in Zambia, was allegedly raped by an unidentified individual who forcibly entered her residence.
The incident occurred on November 1, 2024, at approximately 22:30 hours.
According to Southern Province Commissioner of Police Auxensio Daka, the perpetrator also stole K500 and a Tecno cell phone valued at K1,500.
The victim sustained severe genital and bodily injuries, with the intruder gaining entry through the main door after damaging the locking system.
Daka reported that the victim was awakened by a noise and subsequently saw a flashlight in her room, discovering a male intruder who threatened her with a matchet, warning her not to scream or face fatal consequences, before proceeding to rape her and fleeing with the stolen items.
