Police at Mazabuka in Zambia  have arrested and detained a music a 22 year-old music producer for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old gospel singer.

Southern Province Police Commissioner Auxensio Daka has confirmed the arrest and said the victim was allegedly defiled when she visited the studio to follow up on her song which was recorded about a months go.

Daka has identified the suspect as DJ Hampongo 22, told the victim to wait for him in his bedroom while he attended to other artists.

He says Hampongo later followed the victim to the victim where he instructed her to remove her clothes, and proceeded to assault her with a condom.

Daka adds that the victim’s mother found Hampongo defiling her daughter after which she sought medical attention at Nega-Nega clinic and examinations confirmed the defilement.

He says police have since arrested and detained the suspect
