One person has died after being diagnosed with cholera in Balaka district.
According to a report from the disease prevention department at the Balaka hospital, currently seven (7) people who were also diagnosed with the disease are recovering well and have been discharged from the hospital.
The report also goes on to say that one hospital has been affected by the disease.
Health officials in the state have urged people to follow all hygiene measures to prevent the spread of cholera in the state.
