The man, whose body is currently at Monkey Bay Hospital mortuary, is believed to have died following a hit and run accident around Nkhudzi along the Mangochi-Monkey Bay Road.

The station’s police spokesperson Alice Sichali confirmed the incident, saying the body is estimated to be of a man in his 30s, black in complexion and tall.

“We have tried to find his relatives, but we are failing to get them. Our coming to the media is to help us locate his relatives,” said Sichali. She added that on the material day, he was wearing a black jacket, white vest, a grey short and a pair of green slippers.

“Our appeal is to the members of the public to check if any of their male relatives or male community member is missing and report to the nearest police station or Monkey Bay Hospital for identification,” she explained.
