Police in the Northern Region have confirmed the arrest of Vincent Maganga, 30, on suspicion that he was scanning voter registration certificates at Mlowe Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) registration centre in Rumphi district.
Northern Region Police Spokesperson, Maurice Chapola said police at the registration centre received a report from communities that Maganga was scanning voters registration certificates at a place close to the centre.
Following this information they rushed to where the suspect was and they found him already scanned ten voter registration certificates.
He has been charged with conducting in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.
Vincent Maganga comes from Yahaya Village Traditional Authority Kamenyagwaza in Dedza district.
