State Vice President Dr. Michael Usi has refused to comment on the election of former Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor Dalitso Kabambe as President of the United Transformation Movement (UTM).

In the interview with one of the local daily papers Usi, former UTM President said he has followed the just ended UTM convention and he will soon comment on the matter.

“Koma posakhalitsapa ndiyankhulapo pa zonse zachitika dzulo kumsonkhano uja,” Usi was quoted as saying.

Usi shunned the elective conference after describing it as illegal.

The Vice President took over the leadership of UTM following the death of its leader in a plane crash on June 10, 2024.
