Malawi’s football stars, Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga, have been nominated for the prestigious 2024 CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the list of 10 nominees earlier today, highlighting the sisters’ exceptional performances over the past year.

The awards gala will take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco, where the winner will be crowned.

 This marks a significant achievement for Malawi as the Chawinga sisters continue to shine on the international stage.

Tabitha was recently among the Ballon d’Or nominees and her young sister Temwah currently top goal scorer with 21 goaas in US National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
