Zambian media personality Mutale Mwanza has been arrested for cybercrime offenses following defamatory remarks directed to Diamond TV presenter Chichi Daisy.

According to a press statement issued by Zambia Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga, Mutale was apprehended on November 20, 2024 at her home in Lusaka, in connection with a defamatory post made on her Facebook page on November 8.

The post allegedly suggested that Daisy Mwansa Limfupa (Chichi Daisy) was involved in illicit activities and included other libelous statements.

Mutale has been granted police bond and is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges levelled against her.
