A 37-year-old Zimbabwean man, identified as Lovemore Sithole, has been sentenced to death  after being found guilty of selling his 6-year-old stepson to ritualists in Botswana for R280,000.

The shocking incident came to light when the child’s skull was discovered a month later and identified through DNA testing.

The case has drawn widespread condemnation, highlighting the brutal realities of ritualistic practices in the region.

Sithole’s sentencing underscores Botswana’s firm stance against such heinous crimes.
