Police in Limbe are keeping in custody Patrick Banda, 24, for allegedly being found in possession of assorted medical drugs without license.

Banda was arrested on November 29, 2024, following a tip from the community that he was suspiciously selling various kinds of medicines at Chiswe, Chigumula township in Blantyre district

Police have since recovered from his house different types of drugs ranging from Contraceptives, Antiretralvirals (RVs), Pain killers, Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) and Antibiotics.

He shall appear before court soon to answer the charge of being found in possession of medical drugs without license.

Patrick Banda hails from Chiswe village, Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blantyre district.
