The member of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for Mulanje Bale area, Victor Musowa has caused a stir in the parliament when he entered the house with a cup of tea.

When he was asked to come out for breaking the law, he insisted that he was taking medication and the medical staff had evidence of what was bothering him.

But after some time it became known that the councilor was drinking tea and not medicine as he said.

This led to the Deputy Speaker Aisha Adams ordering the Musowa to leave the house to finish his drink but Musowa refused to do so.

It took an opposition MP to take the cup and leave it outside.

In the meantime, some disagreements have arisen in the house between the members of the government and the opposition especially on what they should discuss.
