South African police have arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnapping of a Chinese national in Springs on Friday. The victim was abducted by a group of five men, who demanded a ransom of R3 million for his release.

A swift police operation successfully freed the victim on the old Vereeniging Road. Subsequent investigations led officers to a residence in Sebokeng, where three suspects were apprehended, and ammunition was recovered.

Authorities have confirmed that the search is ongoing for the remaining two suspects. The incident highlights growing concerns over kidnapping cases in the region, and police have reaffirmed their commitment to tackling such crimes.
