The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) have commenced talks of a possible political alliance ahead of the 2025 polls.

AFORD President Enoch Chihana has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying more details will be shared soon.

This comes after their leaders held talks at the PAGE House.

Chihana said the two leaders banged heads on a litany of social-economic challenges in the country besides the alliance.

DPP spokesperson Shadric Namalomba asked for more time on the matter.
