A 35-year-old man of Zimba District identified as Steven Mwaanga has died after falling off a moving Zambia Army Ural truck, sustaining fatal head injuries in the process.

Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, says the incident occurred on 19th December, 2024, around 08:30 hours along the Mapatizya-Kalomo Road near Downtown Shop.

He notes that the driver of the truck, 50-year-old Justin Mutale, a Warrant Officer Class 1, escaped without injuries and the vehicle had no damages.

Daka says the remains of the deceased were initially at Kabanga Clinic awaiting transfer to Zimba Mission Hospital mortuary.
