38 year old Kalirani Manda a teacher by professional at Chikuta primary school has died after drinking alcohol excessively on an empty stomach on the night of December 20, 2024 in Bua-Chikuta Village, Traditional Authority Mlonyeni in Mchinji.
Mchinji public relations officer Limbani Mpinganjira has confirmed development saying on the material day, upon closing the first term of the academic year, Manda left his home for Bua Trading Center where he drunk numerous beers and later at 20:00 hours left the drinking premises while drunk.
The following day, Manda was spotted lying static in soya fields within Chikuta Village.
“The autopsy revealed that the death was due to Hypoglycemia secondary to excessive beer drinking, no foul play suspected, and burial has been ordered.” said Mpinganjira.
Kalirani Manda hailed from Kapoloza Village, Traditional Authority Kalumo in Ntchisi.
