Minister of Information and Digitization Moses Kunkuyu who is also Malawi Congress party (MCP) has vowed to revisit Ndirande Township despite the recent fracas.

Last month Kunkuyu and some MCP top officials pre-maturely abandoned a visit to Ndirande Township after some irate residents started pelting stones at his convoy.

Kunkuyu, along with other senior Malawi Congress Party (MCP) officials, was on a tour to encourage voter registration in preparation for the 2025 elections.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the state owned Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), Kunkuyu said he will stop visiting Ndirande once all development projects that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has set aside for Ndirande people are fulfilled.

Kunkuyu then accused the opposition Democratic Progressive party (DPP) of being behind the said violence.
