The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is set to hold rallies in Blantyre this week.

According to Shadreck Namalomba, the party’s spokesperson, former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will lead the rallies, which aim to mobilize support for the party ahead of the September 2025 elections.

The rallies are scheduled to take place in various locations, including Mbayani, Chemusa, Machinjiri, Makhetha, Ndirande, Manje, and Bangwe Mvula.

Mutharika is expected to use these rallies to urge people to vote for the DPP in the upcoming elections.

George Chaima, a senior party official, emphasized that the DPP is poised to make a comeback, especially with the elections looming in September.

Meanwhile, Mutharika is also scheduled to hold similar rallies in Mulanje, Thyolo, Chiradzulu, and Phalombe districts.
