Ekhaya FC has secured the ThumbsUp Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) League Premier Division title and earned promotion to the TNM Super League in their debut season, with one game remaining.

The Cowboys sealed their triumph with a convincing 2-0 win over Nyambadwe United yesterday  on 9 January 2025 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre. Goals from Francis Mkonda and Mwayi Banda in each half solidified their dominance.

The victory takes Ekhaya FC to an unassailable 31 points from 13 matches, leaving their closest challengers, Red Lions, trailing at 24 points. Even with their maximum potential of 27 points after a 2-2 draw against Mighty Wanderers Reserve at Balaka Stadium, the Lions are out of contention.
