Police in Blantyre have arrested Cecil Malunga 45, on suspicion that he committed an offence of Assault Occussioning Actual Bodly Harm which is contrary to Section 254 of the Penal Code.
Police in Blantyre have arrested Cecil Malunga for allegedly assaulting Mighty Mukuru Wanderers chief executive officer Panganeni Ndovi.
Blantyre Police spokesperson Peter Mchiza confirmed the arrest.
Part of the statement from the police reads: “Mr Panganani Ndovi was driving along Chikwawa when he was confronted by the suspect .
“The suspect started assaulting him and he finally pulled him off from his vehicle and in the process, he sustained a shoulder dislocation and some bruises.
“He then managed to escape from the place leaving his vehicle behind.”
The statement says Malunga, who comes from Kadikira Village, Traditional Authority Kunthembwe in Blantyre, will appear in court soon.
