The President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, is expected to attend the memorial service for Pastor John Chilembwe in Chiradzulu on today, January 15, 2025.

The Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Collen Zamba, confirmed this in a letter released yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of Providence Industrial Mission (PIM), Davies Kambewa, said that all preparations for the event are complete.

This year’s memorial service for Pastor John Chilembwe will be held on the theme “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”, which is a quote from Matthew 11:28.
