The Nyasa Bullets family is mourning the loss of one of its most dedicated supporters, Dan Kafandiya, who passed away today due to heart-related complications.

Kafandiya, 41, was a stalwart fan of the team and had previously held influential roles within the supporters’ structure.

According to his brother, Evance Kafandiya, Dan had been hospitalized at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre two weeks prior to his passing, where doctors diagnosed him with a heart condition.

Despite his initial discharge, Kafandiya collapsed in Blantyre today and was rushed back to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Nyasa Bullets acting CEO Albert Chigoga paid tribute to Kafandiya, describing him as a “passionate fan” who was deeply committed to the team.

Kafandiya is survived by two children and will be laid to rest in Chilomoni, Blantyre on Friday, January 17, 2025.
