Faith Chibale became an endearing figure when she won the Malawi News Model of the Year beauty pageantry in 2004. Her easy smile, humility and charity works ensued that she remained a hugely popular figure who rejuvenated the dying pageantry. Her love affair with the Malawian public continued when she won the Miss Malawi crown the following year and represented Malawi.

She remains the most popular holder of the Miss Malawi crown to date and remains an inspiration to many young girls across the country. After she relinquished her crown, she continued to be a popular figure on the Malawian social scene and has appeared at the face of several advertising campaigns. A last born in a family of 10 children, seven girls and three boys, Faith was born on 30 April 1989.
