There are uncertainties surrounding  Parliamentary elections  for Blantyre North Constituency following the death of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Parliamentary Candidate Chester Mulli.

Mulli past on over the Weekend.

The law requires the electoral commission to postpone an election in a constituency where an aspirant dies.

MCP spokesperson Dr Jassie Kabwila said the party is shocked with the sudden death of Mulli.

When approached for comment, MEC spokesperson Sangwani Mwafulirwa said, as the electoral stipulates the parliamentary election  for Blantyre North constituency will have to be postponed.

MEC has already suspended elections for two wards (Machinga and Ntcheu).
