The People’s team Big Bullets FC on Sunday outclassed Red Lions on their backyard by beating them 2-0 to go second on the Super league standings.

The game was played at Zomba community ground which is the home ground for the soldiers.

Bullets who were coming from 2-2 draw against Civo proved too strong for the Zomba based soldiers as they took control of the game from the start.

No wonder Bullets took a lead in eight minutes of the first half through Victor Limbani after the defence of Red Lions failed to clear the cross from Fitcher Kondowe.

Bullets scored the second goal in the second half through a penalty following the hand ball by Loti Chawinga. This made life for the soldiers to be difficult as they looked weak and they were always second on the ball.

After the game, Bullets Coach Elijah Kananji said he was delighted with the win.

His counterpart Mike Kumanga said Bullets deserved to win the game and accepted defeat.

“We did not play well today and it was not our day. Our colleagues played very well and to instructions,” he said.

Bullets is now on second position with 13 points from five games played
