Reports coming in indicate that preparations for the swearing in ceremony of the winner of the fraudulent elections on-going today are being made. They will take place at Civo stadium in the capital city, Lilongwe.
According to the reports which FaceofMalawi has not independently verified, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has already arrived in the country to attend the swearing in ceremony of President Banda who will be declared winner of the elections. The swearing in ceremony is expected to take place tomorrow afternoon.
The reports indicate that the Nigerian leader who is a close ally of President Banda arrived via the Zomba airwing and from there he has traveled by car to Lilongwe where he is being kept at the State house.
“President Jonathan was in a Toyota VX Land Cruiser with the Malawi Presidential symbol on the numberplate,” a source said.
An account bearing the name of Galaxy FM broadcaster Gerald Viola on Facebook corroborated the claims indicating that they had followed up the convoy that had carried the Nigerian leader after it left Zomba before lunch Malawian time and they were sure it was the Nigerian President.
Malawi elections are being conducted under dubious circumstances with some centers yet to be operational with only an hour or less left to go.
