Traditional Authority Ngabu of Nsanje district died Wednesday afternoon after heart failure due to high blood pressure, Nsanje District Health Officer Dr. Medson Matchaya has confirmed.
Dr Matchaya told Malawi News Agency that Ngabu died at his headquarters at around 12 o’clock noon.
Sources close to the bereaved family said burial is expected to take place at Ngabu’s Headquarters on Friday June 20.
According to the information from the District Commissioner’s office, the departed chief, whose real name was Frank Wailes was installed as a chief on July 26, 1997.
