Malawi Under 20 national team defender, Miracle Gabeya, is at Bloemfontein Celtic for trials.
The 19-year-old defender who has impressed for the junior Flames is expected to join two other Malawians at the team in defender Limbikani Mzava and striker Frank Mhango.
A source close to the player in Malawi told the Siya crew that the player left on Sunday for South Africa together with Mhango and Mzava.
“As we speak he is in South Africa at Celtic and I think he rill do it. He is still young but he is very strong and he has a great workmanship. He is a good defender,” the source said.
Asked for comment the Malawi Under 20 coach Ernest Mtawali confirmed that the Big Bullets defender is in South Africa.
“Yes I know he had to travel to Celtic because they want to look at him. He has been doing very well for the Under 20 national team and I believe he can make it in South Africa,” the former Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder concluded.
