President Professor Author Peter Mutharika has extended his best wishes to all Muslim in the country as they celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr marking the end 30 days of Ramadan.

Mutharika said this through a Press Statement issued signed by Press Officer to the President Mr. Frederick Ndala.

In his statement, President Mutharika said his government appreciates the cordial relationship that exists between it and Muslim organisations, individuals and businesses that endeavour to reduce poverty through the provision of charitable undertakings in the fields of education and health among others.

“May God bless and guide all Muslims on this occasion as they not only celebrate the end of fasting, but also thank Allah for the help and strength that he gave them throughout the month to help them practise self-control.

” Happy Eid-ul-Fitr to all Muslims as they mark the end of Ramadan with celebrations and prayers”, reads in part the statement.

Muslim across the country will cerebrate Eid-ul-Fitr today Monday, to mark the end of Ramadan, a holy month of fasting.
