Apostolic Nuncio to Zambia and Malawi Archbishop Julio Murat has called on religious women to be compassionate and serve in hope.
Archbishop Murat was speaking at Andrews Motel in Lusaka during the closing Mass of the 16th Association of Consecrated women in Eastern and Central Africa (ACWECA) General Assembly.
Archbishop Murat said the sisters should emulate the Lord Jesus Christ who was compassionate.
The Nuncio advised the sisters to deepen their faith when they meet challenges and grow in hope and love.
Archbishop Murat also encouraged all consecrated women to resolve to continue to serve Gods’ people despite the many problems they encounter following the theme, Go, do not be afraid and serve.
The Apostolic Nuncio has since urged the sisters to be outstanding in Christian virtues and prayer life imitating St. Monica who persevered in prayer until her son was converted.
