Zack Snyder, the director of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has posted a new picture of the Batmobile online. It reveals multiple guns mounted on the armoured vehicle. He had previously given fans a sneak peek of the Caped Crusader’s car in a dark shot with Ben Affleck standing beside it in his Batsuit.

The new hi-res image, taken by professional photographer Clay Enos, is a colour close-up of the vehicle, showing lights shining and two revolving guns on top of the bonnet.

Zack retweeted Clay’s photo with the caption: “Here’s a real picture of the #Batmobile.”

As expected, Twitter buzzed with reaction: ‏@MildlyAmused wrote: “I’m not opposed to the new Batmobile in theory, but I’m just tired of being crushed under the visual gritty nihilism of DC Cinematic Universe.”

‏@Ankaman616 joked: “The new #BatmanvSuperman #Batmobile looks like it’d be a right pain to park…” and ‏@seanoneal tweeted an imagined conversation: “Zack Snyder: Make the Batmobile look angstier!

Designer: I’m not sure that’s a word, let alone one that describes cars.

Snyder: ANGSTIER!”

The heavily armoured vehicle has a small raised windscreen, like a cockpit, and there are various raised gadgets on the sides. It’s the first new Batmobile model since Batman Begins, the first in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy of films starring Christian Bale. That vehicle featured a pair of giant wheels at the front allowing it to flip over.

As you know, Ben Affleck will play Batman opposite Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman.
