Glory of God Campus World Wide Ministry on Monday donated medical equipment worth K70 million to Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Lilongwe.

The items donated included: 22 normal beds, two Theater beds K7million each, six theater gowns, two sets of Anesthetic breathing units, 100 surgical gloves, nine sets crouches, six adults resuscitation tubes, 50 Surgical Scissors (mosquito), 16 face masks and 500 Cannullas among others.

Receiving the donation on behalf of KCH, Minister of Health, Dr Jean Kalilani said Government and church are complementary partners as they both take care of the same people in different ways.

“What the church has done has complemented Government efforts of providing good health care to people in the country. This is beyond the spiritual role the church has,” Kalirani explained.

She said human beings are not complete without spiritual care adding that some of the diseases are preventable as the church preaches on immorality and issues affecting the society in a negative way.

Dr Kalirani said the items donated would also help Government to save the resources that would have been used to buying the equipment.

She assured the church that the ministry would take care of items donated.

Glory of God Campus World Wide Ministry, Prophetess Barbara Davidse said as a church they know hospital needs since they have been visiting them.

“This is not the first time we are giving hospital equipment. Last year we donated some items to KCH, Mitundu and Salima hospitals. We also renovated Salima hospital,” Davidse explained.

She said before the calling as Prophetess she used to donate hospital items through African Women Association. She emphasized that Good loves those who love others and are doing according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
