For all the pressure, for all the busy schedule, and for all the criticisms received that his poetry-recitals sound like stand-up comedies, poet Robert Chiwamba on Wednesday, graduated with Credit in his Bachelors’ Degree in Public Administration at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College (Chanco).

Expressing his joy, Chiwamba said ‘it has always been a dream’ for him to pass with flying colours.

“Today, I am over-excited that I will be walking with a belt of Credit in a Bachelors’ Degree in Public Administration and for this to happen, I do not take it for granted. I owe it to the Almighty God, for it is not by my power and knowledge that I have excelled,” said Chiwamba, smiling.

Chiwamba added: “I would also like to thank God for what my wonderful relatives, friends from Chanco Society of Anglican Students, Chanco Traveling Theatre, writers workshop and everyone who helped me succeed in my endeavours.”

Chiwamba had also good words of the college that made him realize his dreams. “I only have fond memories for all the encounters I had at Chirunga and will always value and cherish the opportunity I was given at the great institution.”
