The body of National Salvation Front (NASAF) President James Mbowe Nyondo will be laid to rest this coming Friday at Area 18 Cemetery in the capital Lilongwe.

Nyondo, 47 died on Friday night last week at Steve Boko Hospital in South Africa where he was receiving treatment for lung cancer.

Speaking to FaceofMalawi on Tuesday, Nyondo’s relatives said the remains of Nyondo will arrive in the country on Thursday through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe.

Upon arrival, the body will be taken to Area 47 where relatives, friends and well-wishers have been holding a funeral vigil since Saturday, last week.

“Burial of the body will take place the following day, Friday, 24 July 2015, at Area 18 Cemetery in Lilongwe. The burial ceremony will be preceded by a funeral service, which will be conducted from 10 A.M at Church of Christ, in Area 47, Lilongwe,” he said.

Nyondo is survived by wife and three Children.
