Former Vice President Khumbo Kachali has been named as the interim president for the People’s Party (PP) at Mzuzu Victory Temple in Mzuzu.

The appointment comes hot on the heels of the prolonged absence of the party’s founder former president Joyce Banda who has been outside Malawi since she lost the tripartite elections last year.
