Legal expert and Justice Link Executive Director Justin Dzonzi has demanded for the immediate firing for the first and Second Deputy Speaker once they are found guilty on corruption charges leveled against them.

The call comes following media reports that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has launched investigations on Esther Mcheka-Chilenje and Clement Chiwaya on the grounds that the two are said to be residing in their own houses but they receive house allowance.

According to weekend nation of last week, the two are said to have been pocketing money amounting K550, 000 per month which is K300, 000 more than their required K250, 000 per month allowance.

The paper reported that the two cheated the government that they rent the houses they stay in from elsewhere so that each could be carting home K 550,000 every month in housing allowances but investigations revealed that the two are residing in their own houses.

Commenting on the issue, Dzonzi expressed shock over the tendency demonstrated by two, saying investigations on the matter to establish the truth.
Dzonzi also questioned Parliament paying system, saying the system also needs to be investigated.

He also questioned the general public for being silence on the matter, saying this is not helping matters at all.

Meanwhile the Parliament Service Commission (PSC) has given Chiwaya and Chilenje a 7-day ultimatum to respond to the allegations.
