As memories among Malawians are still fresh on the joy brought by the just ending Lake of Stars music festival in Mangochi, another famous artist is set to hit the country by storm.
Zambian musician Roberto, well-known for his Amarula song that enjoys massive airplay in weddings and other ceremonies is scheduled to perform at Wakakwa Hotel in Lilongwe next week.
Wakawaka Hotel general manager Gabriel Nizeyimana confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country.
“This show is a pre-Sand Music Festival event. We have concluded all logistics issues with the artists and it is confirmed he is coming. To make everything possible we have been supported by Malawians Airlines and also Asaba Car Hire who will be responsible for internal travel for the artist,” Nizeyimana was quoted as saying.
Nizeyimana also disclosed that Veteran musicians Lucius Banda and the dancing machine Skeffa Chimoto will be the supporting artist on the due date.
Roberto is an R&B artiste, producer and radio presenter at Zambian radio QFM.
