Former Senior Quantity Surveyor with the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Mkhuzo James Bandula Chirwa who owns Zozama Civil Engineering has pleaded guilty to the charges of conspiracy to defraud Malawi government money amounting to MK500 million.

Chirwa pleaded guilty when he appeared in court this morning.

Bandula Chirwa was arrested in October 2013 by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly receiving MK 38, 056,014.00 from government without providing any service.

When he appeared in court, Chirwa also pleaded guilty to a second count of theft of K513million from the government.
