Police in Dedza are keeping 18 Ethiopian nationals for allegedly entering into the country without proper documents. This occurred at agricultural land offices.

Dedza Police spokesperson confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press.

According to Police, on the fateful day Police received a tip from well-wishers that there were some strange people at the mentioned place and police rushed to the scene.

“When police officers visited the place it was discovered that they were Ethiopian nationals who had entered the country without permits,” reads the statement in part.

The Ethiopian nationals have charged with an offence of Illegal Entry and have been handed over to Dedza immigration department.
