Former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) spokesperson during the reign of late Professor Bingu wa Mutharika, Dr Hetherwick Ntaba has been appointed as presidential adviser responsible for domestic policy.
Minister of Information, Tourism and Civic Education Jappie Mhango has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Mhango, Ntaba’s appointment is with immediate effect.
Mhango said Ntaba has already started discharging his duties at State House.
Ntaba also confirmed of his appointment in an interview with faceofMalawi, saying he is happy to be back at State House.
Prior to his appointment, Ntaba was working as a medical doctor in the capital Lilongwe.
