Controversial ruling People’s Party (PP) provincial chair for the north Christopher Mzomera Ngwira has branded the Party’s Interim leader Uladi Mussa as a political failure who is there to destroy the party which is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The fired Mzomera Ngwira said this in an interview with one of the privately owned radio [Zodiak Broadcasting Station] in a pogramme called Tiuzeni Zoona hosted by former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation broadcaster.

Ngwira said the appointment of Mussa exited him, saying he had hope that he will help in solving the squabbles locking the Party including his suspension from the Party for baseless reasons but instead he expelled him from the Party completely.

The highly charged Mzomera Ngwira said he will never sit-back and watch Mussa destroy the Party, saying he has suffered enough for the Party and time has come for true members of the Party lead it through.

Mzomera Ngwira was trashed the claims that he is being sponsored by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to destabilize the Party, saying PP is in the ICU and needs a courageous person to lead it.

Ngwira, who is also parliamentarian for Mzimba Hora, was in December last year expelled from the party for declaring that Kachali should replace Banda who has been outside the country since losing elections in May 2014.

He was later reinstated by Dr. Joyce Banda.
