Controversial Malawian Prophet currently based in South Africa, Shepherd Bushiri has said his bank and mobile service company will be opened in March this year.
Bushiri disclosed this when he was asked by one of the local daily papers in the country Daily Times to clarify on the reports that he is planning to venture into banking services.
Bushiri, popularly known as ‘Major 1’ his congregants said the bank will operate under the name SB Bank, with SB standing for Shepherd Bushiri.
“The two investments are meant to help me earn some money which I must use to help reach as many people as possible across the world with the word of God,” Bushiri was quoted as saying.
Bushiri was in the country last and he donated Maize to families affected by hunger in Zomba and in Lilongwe where over 3,000 families benefited from the exercise.
Speaking in these two places, Bushiri urged well-wishers across the country to assist those people affected by hunger.
Bushiri made headlines last month when he unveiled his third jet with many people on the social media accusing him of milking his church the claims he denied.
Bushiri said he has a lot of business across the country which helps him to source funds and some of the money is used to fund his church.
