Consumer Association of Malawi (CAMA) Executive Director John Kapito has come out of his cocoon and criticizes President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika for not taking action on corrupt Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) top officials, saying his silence on the matter is not helping matters at all.

Kapito said this on Monday during a media briefing held in the commercial capital Blantyre aiming at tackling some economic woes rocking the country.

The highly charged Kapito said for Mutharika to just accept that there are some ADMARC top officials who are conniving with vendors to steal maize meant for poor Malawians is not a solution to the hunger situation in the country.

Kapito said Malawians are suffering at the expense of these corrupt ADMARC top officials.

“If the President is really serious with corrupt ADMARC top officials he should fire all of them as soon as possible,” said Kapito

Turning to the depreciation of the Kwacha, Kapito said consumers have hard enough of the continued nose diving of the country’s currency.

Kapito said CAMA has launched the ‘Poor Lives Matter’ to act as a mouth piece for venerable people in the country.
