Seven people were burnt to death on Monday in Nsanje by irate mob for allegedly being found in possession of human bones.

According to information that FaceofMalawi have in possession indicate that the incident happened in area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Tengani.

Nsanje police Officer-In-Charge (OC) Kirby Kaunga confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Kaunga said no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile Centre for Human Right and Rehabilitation (CHRR) Executive Director Timothy Mtambo has condemned the action, saying it’s in human.

Mtambo asked the Police to swiftly act on the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
