Mutharika to officially open 2016/2017 Tobacco Market Season on Wednesday in Lilongwe

President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will on Wednesday April 13, 2016 officially open this year’s Tobacco Marketing Season at Kanengo Auction Floors in Lilongwe.
This has been disclosed in a press Statement released on Monday from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) made available to the press.
According to the statement, Mutharika is expected to arrive at the Kanengo Auction Floors at about 9:30 in the morning.
“Government officials and all invited dignitaries are requested to be seated by 9 O’clock,” reads in part the statement signed by Chikondi Juma.
Tobacco in Malawi is regarded as green gold as it contribute over 70 percent of forex in the country.
