The High Court is today expected to resume hearing a corruption case involving former President Dr. Bakili Muluzi and his personal aide Violet Whisky.

The two are being accused of misappropriating an equivalent of $11 million in public funds during his tenure of office.

The case was adjourned prematurely on Monday due to the absence of the first witness and the defence of objected to the state decision to proceed by parading second witness in the case.

Muluzi’ lawyer argued that was not prepared to cross examine the second accused.
