Personal aide to Speaker of Parliament Richard Msowoya is in police custody for allegedly stealing a laptop.

The suspect has been identified as Patrick Kayira.

Kayira was arrested on Thursday after CCTV footage proved that the suspect stole the laptop.

The laptop belongs to of the offices at the Capital Hill.

Kayira is said to have confessed he stole the laptop.

Meanwhile the office of the Speaker is yet to comment on the matter.
