Tears of joy and sadness characterized the grand finale of this year’s E-Wallet talent show where Kelvin Zalimba was crowned winner.
The show was held at Sunbird Capital hotel in Lilongwe on Sunday with Dan Lu, Patience Namadingo and other artist spicing up the event with live performance.
Zalimba brushed shoulders with Sigele Akimu, Shanice Tandwe, Eunice Mhango and Jeremiah Chikhwaza to be crowned winner, bagging home K3 million Nissan Tiida.
The winner was decided by contestants themselves as there was no clear winner by all Judges who presided over the events and tie mechanism had to be used.
In this mechanism contestants had to vote for each other and their votes contributed 20 percent.
This is where Kelvin emerged victorious since he got two votes while other contestant got one each.
Zalimba performed the reindition of Luther Vandross’ Buy Me a Rose.
Eunice Mhango, who is the main vocalist at Mizu Band was announced as the second runner-up.
