Candidate from Holy Family Secondary School in Phalombe is in police custody for allegedly being involved in cheating malpractice in the ongoing Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.

Phalombe¬ police officer in charge William Kazayekha confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press and identified the candidate as Fanny Chabwela aged 30.

According to Kazayekha, the candidate was found with reference material during Biology practical paper.

Chabwela hails from Nkhulambe village, Traditional Authority (TA) Nkhulambe in Phalombe.

FaceofMalawi can confirm that the 2016 MSCE exams have been leaked and exam papers are all over the street with Biology practical paper being the first one.
