The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday last week arrested National Assembly Senior security Assistant Maxwell Komwa for allegedly duping the house.
ACB Senior Public Relations Officer Egrita Ndala confirmed of the arrest in an interview with one of the local radio station on Monday.
Ndala told the station that Komwa used ghost workers to defraud the National Assembly undisclosed sums of money.
“The Bureau instituted investigation which established that Maxwell Komwa had inserted names of civilians on the list of hired police officers for his personal benefit,” explained Ndala.
Ndala said Komwa is now on bail and he will appear in court soon.
