Students from Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Thyolo have been asked to report for classes on Wednesday, November 16 2016, saying the challenge which led to the immediate closure of the University has been resolved.

MUST was temporarily closed on Monday last week “due to scarcity of water on campus” according to University registrar Dr Tarcisius Nampota.

Nampota said the water problem is a result of the breakdown of the water pumps that supply the campus in Thyolo.

But in a statement released on Monday announcing the reopening of the university on Wednesday, Management has thanked the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Development and Blantyre Water Board for solving the problem in time.

According to the management, students are being asked to report to MUST campus on Tuesday.

The management has said free transport will be available from Limbe especially from Illovo Sugar round about.
